G Brace (Architectural – Steel Frame Work)
Achieving premium braces with enhanced design quality
We have newly developed braces using rolled round steel for building structures (SNR material) as the main material. With design quality also in mind, fork-end joints are used at both ends, and the turnbuckle body (which provides adjustment and tightening functions) is manufactured by machining rather than using a split-frame turnbuckle body. Because we mass-produce and stock fork-end joints and turnbuckle bodies, the overall cost of G Brace can be kept considerably low, allowing us to offer it at a reasonable price. G Brace is available in Types I to III. You can select the appropriate type according to the application and the importance of design quality.
Materials and Sizes
| Material | Yield Point | Tensile Strength | Size (Nominal Thread Diameter) |
|---|---|---|---|
| (N/mm2) | (N/mm2) | ||
| SS400 | 245(235)and above | 400~510 | M12,M16,M18,M20,M22,(M24),(M27),(M30) |
| SNR400B | 235~355 | 400~510 | M16,M20,M22,(M24),(M27),(M30) |
| SNR490B | 325~445 | 490~610 | M16,M20,M22,(M24),(M27),(M30) |
Sizes other than those listed above can also be accommodated. However, they will be treated as custom products.
Type I
This is the standard combination. The turnbuckle is used for length adjustment and tensioning. *The joint between the fork-end joint and the rod body is permanently fixed and is not adjusted. *Length adjustment or tensioning is performed at the joint between the turnbuckle and the rod body.
Type II
Because no turnbuckle is used in the middle, the appearance is sleek. However, since there is no turnbuckle, the rod must be rotated for length adjustment and tensioning. The adjustment allowance is also smaller because it is limited to the thread length of the fork end.
Type III
When used within wall or roof planes, connections can be made on the same plane. In addition, because the center portion is pin-connected, it can accommodate slight deformation.
